In the trailer for Venom: Let There Be Carnage, There is a gate that says Ravencroft. In the comics, The Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane is a Mental Asylum used to help unhinged criminals get rehabilitated, Like Cletus Kasady who is a MAJOR character in this film.

I have a new headcanon that when Venom ate the Carnage Symbiote, he didn't fully get rid of it since it's literally Kasady's bloodstream. He merely weakened it and the remnants is how Kasady could hear the other Symbiote from the Negative Zone.

I have a theory that Symbiotes have their own separate space for digesting and absorbing nutrients. If it all went to the host's stomach, Gargan and Kasady would've been extremely bloated after they ate massive quantities of meat.
