I forgot about Ririka SOS, the one with the really messed up ending that was directed by Akitaro Daichi. A lot of his stuff I've came across tend to look "cutesy" but tend to be tear jerkers (original Fruits Basket, Kodocha) and Jubei-chan is another odd mg show he worked on.
