Seen this man in a hat, without the man? Last seen flying high and free over Canada. Hat is missed. All sins forgiven.

Come home, Hat, come home!

10th portfolio photographed for the store. The series will be 8 drawings; 4 to go.

These 40" works are the widest I can shoot with my setup. The few left are 80" wide. I don't think piecing together will work, so this might be it for the store.

Only 3 paintings in the 9th portfolio, from the series finale of Photographed for documentation only — won't be in the Artifex Prime store. Maybe the middle one.

[Poster paint on cardboard, started the night of the election.]

From the portfolio of large (40") charcoal-on-newsprint drawings from the last couple years. Meant to be warm-ups for 'real' work that never happened, a few might make it into the Artifex Prime online store.

Yeah, some strange stuff was happening!

More old photographed only for documentation, not for the upcoming Artifex Prime online store. These early charcoal (& color pencil) drawings have a few redeeming qualities — that's why I bothered — but not enough to make the cut.

Two more heads are (probably) done. Now I’m resigned to seeing it through, 4-6 hours a day, for the foreseeable future.

More of the in progress, which has become a lesson in perseverance and importance of a good foundation. I can’t give up, but honestly, it’s becoming an albatross.

A one-night exercise, this has monopolized my energy for almost a week. Maybe it’ll be done tonight, maybe not. It’s a big challenge & it’s not clear I’ve ‘won’ in terms of the goals I set.
Must say, though, I now have many ideas to deploy in further work.

Watched the great episode "Out of Gas" with friends tonight. I've drawn in it many times. Have to get back to it. No, I WILL get back to it.

Hair is always last. It’s my reward after the struggle. Believe it or not, this ‘realism’ isn’t my goal, but once I get started, I can’t stop. I figure I just have to get it out of my system.
