A lot of popular & influential figures in Shoujo demographic... don't be suprised *drums rolls* are also men. From Umezu Kazuo, Macoto Takahashi, Tomoe Satoo, Chiba Tetsuya, Minamoto Tarou, Mochizuki Akira, Higashiura Mitsuo, etc so yeah that argument is a moot point.
