Astrapotherium magnum zoomin in on day 21 of #marchofthemammals2023
@the_kj_project Crocodiles and mammals have these internal nares too but it's all the way back at the skull.
Day 23: Tylocephalonyx skinneri
This large perissodactyl from the Miocene epoch of North America is noted for having a big dome-like projection on its head, possibly for sexual display or ornamentation.

IO SONO UNA MADRE
Oggi su @repubblica
p.s. segnalo, sempre su Repubblica, l'intervento di Claudia De Lillo "Se la mamma non è buona".
@petra_nordlund Oh I totally see it!
Personally, Sausage always reminded me of the Lycaenops, a creature older than the dinosaurs.
I enjoyed that they reminded me of a creature that was basically one of earth's first shots at a mammal-ish creature!

Day 22: Platybelodon grangeri
This Ambelodontid proboscidean was a strange relative of modern elephants from the Miocene of Africa and Eurasia, famous for their shovel-like lower jaws and extended lower incisors. #marchofthemammals2023 #paleoart #digitalillustration #elephant
Bisturrns, crepuscular central european dragons that hunt the small mammals and reptiles it lives with by using its firey breath.

#marchofthemammals2023 Day 22: Platybelodon grangeri. Platybelodon hopes you have a wonderful day today.
Platybelodon grangeri for day 19 of #marchofthemammals2023! She's very proud of her stick
@BUNKlNS I've got this ancient proto mammal, I think it's spelled castorocauda! Something like an otter and beaver!
Day 21: Enhydriodon omoensis
This massive Otter from Miocene Ethiopia was the largest known mustelid at over 400 lbs!
#marchofthemammals2023 #paleoart
@WhoShowTheLight @clumsystiggy Good point, here are 4 mammals with individual variation and differing color morphs, in all of these cases dispite differences they're all still classed under 1 species because pretending otherwise Is dumb as hell
Enhydriodon omoensis looking menacing on day 18 of #marchofthemammals2023
Just like you and me, birds need water to survive. Most birds drink some water every day, but they don’t drink the way we mammals do.

Wigglytuff always felt a little superfluous to me, and I think the franchise itself feels the same way since you almost never see it compared to Jigglypuff. Still very cute, a bit more "realistic" of a weird little mammal creature. Good but not really for me. 6/10.
Pokémon Reviews: Jigglypuff to Golbat
Jigglypuff is everything Clefairy wants to be but better. It's absurdly cute and always depicted with a fun personality that helps it stand out from the other pink mammaloids of the franchise. Really good. 8/10
