I made some blobs that spawn particles/leaves in Blender. Then I merge all the foliage and transfer the normals from the blobs onto the leaves.

Then I uv mapped a gradient from bottom to top of the leaves to make a color shift from the bottom to top.

Congrats, you are correct, and that reminds me, there is one game I coded/mapped and generally worked a lot in, tho the creator of the game deleted it since he was a bit mad about something that happened, and there was no backup so I lost all my progress (isn't that just so cool)
