Day 18 of #marchmeetthemaker is technique/skill. Drawing people is something I am continually practising. Ive learnt to pick out features that make someone recognisable and focus on getting them right. Its not perfect but I love it when I start to see the drawing coming to life!
#MarchMeetTheMaker: proud of.
What I’m most proud of is getting through a tough few years (emotionally not virus-ly), finding my inner #Lyra & charging forth into 2020 with optimism (hello, old Kate)! No way will I lose that again. We can do it, gang. We are each other’s Iorek 💙
I'm proud of my Meowth painting! I'm also really proud of how far I've come. I used to be too nervous to draw or paint in front of people. In University I was so worried about the professors and other students watching me while I worked.

Day 16- Self Care
#MarchMeetTheMaker
Moodypidge is all about self care! But at one stage, I very much was not. And it’s probably a tad hypocritical for me to preach about self care while... not caring about myself 😅
During this years 28DL I decided to draw wasabi again using the same reference I used when I first drew it for the challenge back in 2016. I am so proud of my improvement. The materials have changed slightly but my drawing skills have improved immensely.

I didn't realize it was #marchmeetthemaker !! LOL - I got a boost of followers recently so I will introduce myself ^-^ My name is Penelope, some of you may know me as Penny for short. I'm an illustrator from Update NewYork...
I usually have various projects in various stages of completion going on at any given time. Here are a few I currently have going!
#marchmeetthemaker
Whenever I make a portrait of an animal, I try to not only make it accurate to species but also capture their personality. It helps when I can spend the time and take reference photos like I’ve done with these avian friends from the #cascadesraptorcenter. #marchmeetthemaker
Day 13- USP
#MarchMeetTheMaker
I actually had to answer this in my business plan so this is an easy one for me! Other than the fact that these are original illustrations and characters, I’m also selling my personal story rather than just products.
Decided the answer to #marchmeetthemaker USP (as with most conundrums) is BIRDS. From Magpie’s Treasure & my @yspsculpture window to working w @Natures_Voice kids’ mag & the #FarnesFlock for @nationaltrust! Sure to make me run faster, attempt tricky yoga poses & sing for joy.

LEARNING CURVE
Watercolors are hard, using color is harder and backgrounds are the HARDEST! https://t.co/lF7ZHu4Puf
Day 12: Learning curve! #MarchMeetTheMaker the first picture is from 2007. The second is from 2020.
I stopped drawing from 2008 to 2018. I still draw like a high schooler 😅
This was the other piece that was lost in the mail. I remember that there were quite a few things that frustrated me with this one. Having clearer guidelines and more details will help with one of those frustrations. #marchmeetthemaker #scratchboard
Day 11- Range
#MarchMeetTheMaker
My range at the moment is rather small... but thanks to a small grant, I am able to buy more stock that I hope people are going to love!
repost @inkycatprints #inkycatprints - I decided to join the #marchmeetthemaker challenge this year. Today's theme is "story". I'm not sure what the exact idea was behind this prompt, but I see most are using it to share how they got into printmaking, so I'll go with that 😊
Day 9 of #marchmeetthemaker is ‘Rough/Mock Up’. I don’t always create roughs of my work as I do a lot of thinking on the ‘canvas’ and kinda sculpt and manipulate vector graphics in Illustrator, gradually working them from basic shapes to the final detail… https://t.co/PF7hfUFgPq
#marchmeetthemaker Hi! I’m Sophie and I’m a wildlife Artist. I started out working in the film industry, before becoming a teacher. I set up @artbaskethq in 2018, as a way for Artists to showcase and sell their work. Now, I aim to raise awareness for animal rights issues. #artist
Day 9- Rough/Mock Up
#MarchMeetTheMaker
We can even do the #StartToFinish challenge today! Two birds with one stone!
... uh... sorry, birds 😅
Whether it's a web design, a logo idea or an illustration concept, I always scribble something down as a Rough Mockup (prompt for Day 9 - #Marchmeetthemaker) before I even think about going near pixels.
