@DrawnCoyote @bakertoons The color casting wasn't done intentionally - white paint is white paint - but a byproduct of being photographed. Why this effect looks so cool is it's the only time in the show you would get these extreme colors not possible with ink and paint alone. It's overexposure!
Oh Arceus WHERE do I begin???
Okay Lemme start by saying I used to really like Charizard. I still do
But by GODS This thing's EVERYWHERE!
I get why it's popular but man I'm tired of it's overexposure
Not disrespect or offense to any Charizard fans 🙏 you guys are cool
before and after homework for my lighting class. Trying to learn overexpose effects, painting with colour, and how to pick colours shadows etc. Its hard D:

[wolf's rain] very fascinating environments in this show. they do a great job of not overexposing lore and not relying on the presence of the 'ancient technology' trope alone to hook you in to the mystery of the setting.
Hi! I am a mini expression tutorial.
Step 1: Make a foundation for the face and place the eyebrows and their expression.
Step 2: do the rest of the facial expressions.
Step 3: Delete the unusable base sketch.
Step 4: Color in multiply layer and overexpose color.
Hi! I am a dirty and quick sketch.
If you do not have time or desire to make a sketch with color and that it is decent, you can choose a color for the brush, then in multiply layer give monochrome colors, and in another layer give the highlights in layer mode overexpose color.

Usually I avoid this overexposed photo look but I wanted to try it out for fun.

Just for fun ... I threw some colors on here and overexposed it to try to make when I’m gonna call a “faux-tograph” ... just expirementing with how far I can push a simple image ... def not a production quality image but a fun process to mess around with ... PS13 ☮️👍
I shot this pano as two storms passed on either side of me. The storm on the right side is to the east (the moon was even in it, but overexposed), the clear spot in the middle is to the north, and the storm on the left is to the west. Best viewed fullscreen!

@CombosDoodles it depends really, while using multiply layers colour picking also comes into play. it's just diffrent. The way i personally do it is i use normal layers for individual segment's shading and multiply/overexpose for more ambient shading
