Ugh, tiny self-correction. They were the anti-rejection meds, not the painkillers.

The same sort of issue is also why Dahlia has some serious scarring around her own ports. It's hard to know how hybrids will react to heavy-duty medication sometimes!

Her entire ribcage/spine are reinforced to hold those ports in place safely. She actually used to be fairly scrawny, but gained a lot of weight shortly after getting the sockets put in (hybrid biology reacting unexpectedly to painkillers). This led to a LOT of strength training.

Lunch break doodle. I actually did eat a proper cold soup lunch but also painkillers? Why the heck did my doctor only prescribe only one painkiller? Dude put stitches in my mouth and I still had to smuggle painkillers from mom.
