The Might Mini-Mech (2014)

One of the very few attempts ever made in all my years of drawing to design a mech. Small quadrupeds with huge laser arrays made to look like rabbit ears got me over the hump of 'I don't draw robots' once. Just the once.

drew feral!April but confused !! I never draw front-view quadrupeds nor do I ever draw tilted heads, so this one was a fun challenge for me :)

With logical taxonomy, these guys should be together under the same clade, such as "Ophidiocephalia" or something.
Instead of split them apart to "elder dragons", or lumping them with far more stem-mammal like fanged wyverns, just because they are quadrupeds and have no wings.

They do have hands, their ancestors were hexapods instead of quadrupeds, so two of their limbs evolved for flight, two for reaching and grasping, and two for walking. They’ve changed since this drawing but it’s a basic idea.
