Everyone's been caught up in perpetuating the Takeuchi sameface meme, redrawing or overlaying characters together to make them look the same.

I mean, with some editing, you can turn any distinctive artist's style into a samefaced abomination. I apologize for making these.

(Drew Sameface Era Zane too. Purposefully shading poorly was fun.)

Sameface/Anime Era had atrocious shading and the eyes were wonky, but at least characters could sometimes look cute instead of scarring.

(Or maybe I prefer it just because it's so old that I'm not embarrassed.)

Such dark times... The Longface Era started as an attempt to escape the Sameface Era, but I went WAY too far. I'm not fully out of the Longface Era, but at least I'm better than I was in 2011-2015.
