And I'm not saying that it's *necessarily* terrible to have the character of Despair be fat. Fat people can be anything.

But in Sandman, Despair is almost the only fat character. That makes her being fat read differently than if Despair was just one of many fat characters.

Finished The Sandman, had an absolutely wonderful time. As expected it run a knife's edge of being too dark and edgy or being too whimsical and kiddie and it's balanced that line perfectly, never tipping one way or the other.

Also I love Desire, they're my little blorbo now
