It boggles me that ankylosaurs were real animals. Not just the armor, spikes, and hammer tails, but their body shape is funky. Whole group decided round and flat was the way to go. Ideal body type. Pinacosaurus is straightup just a pancake

Oh yeah most of the big 90s Marvel guys were very open about loving manga in interviews. Jim Lee and Rob Liefeld obviously took a ton of influence too. In fact Liefeld straightup said that Cable was Bruce Willis' head on top of Briareos' (from Appleseed) body!
