Also, her backstory and Redemption arc were very lackluster imo, namely due to a lack of substance. But after the season 6 finale, I started to warm up to Starlight and it wasn't until The Parent Map when she cemented herself in my top 10.

Overall, I'd usually describe as pretentious, pretending to tell something, when it usually lacks the depth AND variety to actually have any real substance.
