@MrYGuy2 Superheroes started as this kid-friendly, pulpy colorful thing, and at some point we started subverting that trope to be darker, until the darkness and violence became status quo.

I personally love how every volume from V1 to V8 actually mattered and was cohesively woven into one grand finale for V9-V10.
With how much modern movies alter classic stories and try to subvert expectations, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs feels oddly refreshing despite (or because of) being a typical fairy tale. There is padding, but that just means sitting through more golden age animation.
