The reason for the separation is because FNS swaps EVERYONES roles, where as Kim’s AU just swaps Whitty and Updike, along with a few others.

This is an AU where Whitty (who now is only refered as Whitmore) and Updike (now Gabriel, Gabe if you will-) switch places. Whitmore is now head of The Greater Good and Gabriel is a possible "danger" for having uncontrolled lightning powers that could very well kill a person.
