‘The Feast’ from Wind in the Willows by Chris Dunn.
I didn’t realise until fairly recently that his childhood home was very near mine growing up too. He’s younger than me but would go to the same junior school where one of the strictest teachers was called Miss Dunn.
I'm so tempted to create my own rustic, wholesome gay odd couple.
Stories like Moomin, Pooh, Frog and Toad and especially the Wind in the Willows, always makes me happy with how close and sincere the main leads are, they just love spending time with each other.
