初演指揮者ゼルマー・メイロヴィッツ Selmar Meyrowitz はドイツの歌劇場で様々な新作の初演も手掛けた名指揮者。Ultraphon レーベルの指揮者として録音でも活躍。ナチス政権成立の1933年国外脱出。パリで活動を続けるも1940年フランス敗戦で仏西国境へ逃走。41年3月ころに死去。
