Vector outlines and final result. There is probably a much easier way to do this, but I guess I like to suffer.

I agree that there is a nostalgic element to it. I'd much rather have a clean updated sprite to make art with than one with very rough outlines and lack of details.

5A& S creating an abstract landscape in the style of Hundertwasser, using A3 paper, using a scene linked to our text Shackleton’s Journey. Paint was used to create bold, bright colours and outlines were drawn with black markers. Absolutely stunning work

brad was one of the earliest designs made for this mod. the colored outline you'll see in the about page image was only for the sake of matching visually to everyone else, he was actually done before colored outlines were decided on.
so, here's a slightly redone brad!

Not sure how to approach this illustration 🥴
Going towards the 3rd WIP:
overlapping outlines. Might get rid of the darker cortical lines...

Arthur Rackham - his compositions, the swooshiness of his linework and I love how he outlines the bodies of his characters

Atsushi Ōkubo Always had a definite attitude to his work a sense of audaciousness that really pushes his work not to mention the sharp cartoony outlines and sharp angular forms
