Kitagawa Utamaro
Kitagawa Utamaro (1753-1806) was a Japanese artist. He is one of the most respected designers of the ukiyo-e woodblock prints. He is best known for his "bijin okubi-e" or large "headed pictures of beautiful woman". Sometimes, Utamaro illustrated books of insects.
