I think you could work more on anatomy. Try changing the mouth to make it more realistic rather than some lines

These were 20 minute poses in a composition.

these poses dont really work but it doesnt matter all that much. anatomy wasnt ever mcfarlanes priority but his art still looks cool because he bends rules to fit his style and what he wants to do. in this case, selling dynamic and energetic movement is top priority, not anatomy.
