How insanely talented a man can be? Honestly as much as these illustration look good I'm so glad oda was brave enough to pick such a unique artstyle instead. One piece wouldn't be the same without the exaggeration and the bits of goofiness. Unlike anything else.

completely! the thing is, they did this with Athena's pointing pose, which was bent to signify exaggerations and add character. (it was noted on the wiki as its impossible to bend your index finger like that irl)

that doesnt mean every style is excused, mind you. but for example, look at my style. left is a 20-something y/o woman and right is a 12 y/o kid. Remember that in styles like anime and such, its hard to make differences between ages without exaggerating a lot.

I am not sure what to tell you other than what I do, which is making the glasses first and then putting the rest around the glasses.

For smaller pixel images, it just means MORE real estate needs to go to the glasses, so really tiny sprites will have a lot of exaggeration
