Japanese games, on the other hand, were taking inspiration from anime & manga to deliver more complex stories, with interesting settings, fun characters and plot twists.

And the Japanese PCs & consoles could render amazing scenes. These are all JRPGs from the 80s:

a very messy doodle that's the only reason why this whole plot started cooking in my brain and is living there rent free 🤕🤕

@hann_yoma Original Goobot was completely evil. This version is more a jerk than a villain
He loved his son and would never meant him any harm. He still feels sorry about his death
Although I came up with this idea with a "tiger version" I also made a "crossover drawing" with that plot

Blood Brothers of Darkness

We're halfway through, I think you should go to bed now mud-coloured dogs, covered with snow we want to die because rents are expensive because the devil sold us an empty plot of hell

im here for the plot

Couple nights ago I had a really cool dream with a plot involving two powerful swords being forged into one and a fight with weirdly good choreography for a dream

...the pic doesn't do it justice, but I gave it a shot

I think the samurai dude was cool 'v'

It's actually been a good long while since we'd seen The Maulers actually enact a plot of their own. Cool to see that they still very much got this villain thing down considering they regularly gave The Guardians grief.

made a really quick doodle of that winx au AKA Voltrix did you know i have an entire plot for a fic of this i just dont have it actually written

I play Mega Man Maverick Hunter X for the plot

Caught the premiere of #Suzume with IRLs and enjoyed it thoroughly! Another heartfelt story from Shinkai w/ out-of-this-world visuals & so much heart. A couple of the supporting "creatures" felt disconnected from the rest of the plot, but never distracted from the core message.

A little insight to how my brain works and how I find inspiration in random places.

A friend of mine was telling me about a movie they saw recently that they didn't enjoy.

So I looked it up and read the plot and one part caught my attention.

So I copied it & pasted it into… https://t.co/GVv2QbXLpZ

@SmushTheMouse PLOT TWIST: Your bed IS my sole(s) and their overwhelming mass/gravity is keeping you pinned all nice and cozy to them~

🐾🌏💋💗

Plot writing on the back burner does mean more time for drawing them though I suppose
