Azure Rathalos was first discovered in the Elder's Recess and later in the Ancient Forest by the commission. While Rathalos is red, Azure Rathalos is a gorgeous blue. Compared to a Rathalos's shell, Azure Rathalos's shell is stronger and can't be broken by normal means easily.

The structure around Rathalos's shoulders is how he's able to fly so efficiently. A hard shell adorns his body for protection, but small scales that are between the shell allow him to use his wings without hindering his movements.

An extra bone can be found inside the New World Rathalos's wing membrane, making its wings more flexible and allowing it to fly in the dense Ancient Forest with ease. His thigh muscles have also greatly thickened so that he has an easier time taking to skies without much effort.

I just finished drawing my precious child Rathalos, from Monster Hunter.
I combined both designs, the original and the World version to "upgrade" him.

Also this is my first post on this site so i hope you like it qoq

Voting for the body of the Rathalos/Rodan fusion are up on my Patreon! I also included a classic body suit design because I have been watching some Ultraman recently and was feeling nostalgic.

A further evolved Wyvern Rex, Sherureusu is the ancestor of Rathalos and Rathian that went extinct long ago. Environmental factors caused Sherureusu to go extinct as well as the appearance of many other species of wyverns that began to take shape in ancient times.

My first color was great. Tough, considering people want characters to be eye catching for the most part.
In no particular order:
Dyntos (Kid Icarus Uprising)
Silver Rathalos (Monster Hunter)
Anti of Astora (Dark Souls)
Yu Narukami (Persona 4)
This was so hard. https://t.co/kizlbfMLMb

I drew this second stage to the dinoguy I posted the other day but then I realized this was just a wingless Rathalos so I'm gonna go back to the drawing board
