I love the early days of machines, when everyone who has one is playing the same stuff. 😁 Marble Madness was always touted as showing how good 16-bit machines could do arcade ports. I did like Super Sprint. Lower resolution than the arcade, but still really good gameplay. 👍

Triple battles actually originated from a series of official arcade games on arcade machines prior to appearing in gen 5 proper: Pokemon Battrio.

It used special pucks to affect which Pokemon can be used, and it spanned through all of gen 4 and most of gen 5.
