Day 991: Creek! Tonight's result was pretty bad. My eyesight has been pretty bad the past few days. It's making it hard to get proper work done. I really want to do better, but it's just a challenge right now. Hopefully it will clear up soon and I'll be able to get back in shape.
When I was like 10 I drew a side view pic for my friends so that they could understand my "weird/ugly" body shape. After I showed them I ripped it to pieces bc I was SO ashamed of my tummy especially. I just wanted to redo that doodle and show her some love! I'm learning to 💖her

Then with a @kyletwebster "wamazing" watercolour brush I start colouring the shape. I build up the colour in a few passes, using a few different yellows. I even throw in a bit of blue

New painting I have been playing around with in my spare time. Wanted to challenge myself and avoid my usual use of line-art and lean more of brushwork, colour and shape. It was a fun and I may try and do some more like this.

@Stratica_Art A layer mask will only affect that same layer and instead of the area it considers the color. Black is 0%opac and white is 100%opac. I usually use masks when I want to add an abstract shape.
