Hi Twitter! Here's some old BGs from Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. Howard Chen and I knocked out all the paintings for this short in two months. No photo textures and minimal 3D for the cockpits- what a blast! Some of these made it into the game as photos you can hang up in your ship.

WIP. When I got out of bed today, an ice-cold hand reached out from under my bed and grabbed my ankle. A threatening voice whispered, "I'm a background. Face your fear! Draw me!" So I did.
Cell-shaded, no textures yet. It's interesting how rather simple effects can create a mood.
