Still trying to figure out drawing people in this style but I’m not angry at my progress ! Hand studies today too wanted chunky paw hands, simplifying the fingers. Hands are hard. Lost my old hand ref sheet

Two Buitreraptor having a dispute. What could they be fighting over.
This one took me about 12 hours including colour studies, one of the longest painting I’ve ever done, but I’m very happy with the results ^^
Flora is still very impressionistic and implied as always.

posts reminding me that I did this bunch of studies from screenshots of arctic/antarctic documentaries a while back.
I'd like to go back to doing studies like this because the painterly-ish approach is a nice way to relax after a day of line-drawing.
