I usually draw ‘em intersecting with a smooth curve, but sometimes tweak it depending on the expression he’s making. IMO, if he’s really grinning or something, it makes sense that the muzzle would kind of stick up a little. I think it helps emphasize the emotion. (bottom right)

I am making a new Zero Au and they are just a fucking snail at this point (positive) (their name is Wōniú) (all/any pronouns) (they cannot stand straight. It is drawn on the second doodle but just to figure out a design, their hair usually weighs them down/makes them slouch)
