Now I have better hair shading, and my shading overall has been better with the use of sOmE gradients. This style still needs some work, but I will def continue this for a while :>

From here I add some greyscale values to figure out my lighting. I usually start with a gradient background, sketch in some value, adjust with overlays, and generally fiddle with it till it looks right. Again, polish is for later, this is rough.
