It finally dawned on me what I find uncomfortable about the Sailor Moon Crystal designs. While probably more truthful to Takeuchi's style, they're MUCH thinner than the original anime designs, this subconsciously has bothered me for the past few years. And sure enough:
@SLOplays Their base forms on the other hand have unique designs, they fall back to the "safe marketable" design whenever they design their final forms. This is thanks the the editor's meddling
