My Mew remake is based on the original sprite from Pokemon Red/Green (JP), which is a much more alien-looking creature than the cutie in Blue. I think it lost something.
new Pokesona? Seeing Rattata sprites always reminds me of how much I actually like this #Pokemon. And a little while ago, while playing Crystal, I was like "that's it. I'mma make a new sona!"
The good news is that development is still going strong, rough as nails, I myself is stubborn as a brick to let this die down, we're already balls deep into it and we're bound to go deeper than the rabbit hole.

@MagitekDad If these sprites don't look this way because of AI upscaling to a higher resolution, as the sharp vertical cut-offs suggest, then it's somehow worse because that means a pixel artist intentionally produced something this ugly, fuzzy outline and all.

on the topic of old work, I stumbled across some old old OLD Mega Man 7 sprites with my first ever MM7 style sprite ever.
I don't know why it was Blade Man of all characters but whatever. I also made a V2 and then V3 a year after the original was made, around 2011/12
