I just finished Stephen Silver’s “Exploring Character Styles” class on Schoolism. This was one of the earlier exercises where we were asked to design a character in an existing show style. These are my roughs for a grumpy butcher character in the “Klaus” style.

Also for a class project (make a 4 panel comic with dialogue in each panel). I adapted this from a pre-existing script I had so it was interesting to try and solve the narrative problems that come with trying to adapt something to such a short length.

PRINTFEST 2020 IS ROLLING OVER TO 2021!
Jay Seabrook will be returning to Printfest 2021.
I produce small limited edition runs of collagraph prints with watercolour detail. Hard to reach, remote places, perhaps not even existing. Evoking a feeling of escape from daily life.
