Indeed, if you look at the MGS1 and MGS2 Snakes lined up on the MGSV website, MGS1 is indeed a dark blue-like blue color.

I wonder if Kojipro changed the color of the MGS1 Snake at that time, since it was gray when they released the Snake in Play Arts Kai in 2012.
