2010 vs 2020 Self Portrait

Happy New Year everyone!

There is a lot for me to reflect on for this past decade but I'd rather sum it up in one picture. I'm grateful for the strides I've made this decade and I'm determined to pursue improvement; both artistically and personally

Guys, this took me all night and I am. So proud. I experimented a lot with this, and I can honestly say I am very happy with it. So, have a manga panel redraw of Leily from Otoyomegatari!

I'm winding down the year and this project with a number of great romances; here's the first of three. I couldn't have made it through 2019 without by my side, so here's to better halves, and to not being wolves without feet or brides without heads.

The main stream 2018s! This is where I made some pretty big strides! Still using Sai for the most part, but in the middle switch to my current tool Clip Studio! [5]

This year didn't have as much finished art as the previous ones, but I think this one was productive nonetheless. There were strides made in improvement, and it's still only up from here!

Did the majority of this one on like 4 plane rides-- and if you ever need a sure fire way to avoid talking to your neighbor just spend hours drawing piles of maggots and big spider legs and absolutely no one will hassle you

Today's shop project is a portrait of Kari Barba, a cornerstone tattoo artist! As a gay woman, she made great strides for women everywhere in the world of tattooing!

Also, human-AU Spinel rides a motorcycle and has the fashion sense of a colorblind circus animal. There is no negotiation on either of these things.

More work on my Tauringa concept. She has iridescent teal/jade coloured scales and white fur with midnight black coloured leopard-esque rosettes and horns. Still refining- this is a Work In Progress.

Merry Christmas all!

Drawn by my dear friend Neko! Not all brides can walk to the altar to their Tenchi, some need to be carried ;)

Check him out and his other artworks!
