One thing I’d change in this process going forward is to paint directly in color after establishing the value key, rather than painting the whole thing in greyscale and adding color on top later.

I've generated several templates to mix, reference and overpaint for the mockup. It's a rather robust tool!
@QuietArcher The project I have in mind is very much non-humanoid.. and definitely a pain in the ass because I think it means I have to redraw the chest.. And because it's rather serpentine, finding a way to make the body work is... daunting to say the least.

Ahh, finally, some good news.
The source of the most elusive ArtRetweeter bug has been found... turns out it's an issue on Twitter's side rather than an error in my code.
Don't know when it'll be fixed yet, but hey, knowing the problem is a big step forward.
