A series I never see many in the West talk about is シアトル喧嘩エレジー (Seattle Brawl Elegy) which to my knowledge was a light novel Yoshikazu illustrated and wrote in about 1980. It was published by Tokuma Shoten, though I only have a few illustrations in my archives of it.

17) Fawful from the Mario & Luigi series (RIP) makes every game he's in that much brighter. The way he talks could be a whole dialect on its own, he adds so many extra words and prepositional phrases, whoever wrote his lines is a genius.
