this book of chinese characters didn’t quite have the budget to illustrate all 800 meaning/pronunciation mnemonics, but with the power of artificial intelligence…
I’m super excited to share that I voice Qiao Ling in the English dub of Link Click! It’s been a joy to work on this Chinese animation - I totally dig the vibe and story! Thank you @ItsAustinSisk for trusting me and making the experience a blast!

Yatagarasu
-
Tripedal crows are present in Chinese and Korean mythology as well, known as Sanzuwu to Chinese and Samjok-o to Koreans.-
The Yatagarasu is honored by the Japan Football Association in both logo and in its rewards to the winners of the Emperor's Cup.
1984: Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind
Honestly I think this is the best Ghibli film. Also my first watch was from a worn Chinese VHS copy and Nausicaa's pants looked like the same color as her skin. VERY CONFUSING.
Runner up: Urusei Yatsura Beautiful Dreamer
1988: My Neighbor Totoro
I watched maybe half of this and it was like a fever dream while subtitled in Chinese.
Fun story: The Ghibli Museum played a mini Totoro movie and I went "OH FUCK" while surrounded by small JP children when a big Cat suddenly flew in. Sorry.
1989: Ranma 1/2
I actually started with the OVA VHS tapes from Blockbuster back in the day. I used to have mom translate the manga from Chinese. The moment she found out there were English versions, she bought them so I could read them on my own. 😂
Also first slash pairings.
