Ok, so I've changed tack on my approach to the winter solstice challenge. Still planning to finish the other one, but that's going to take longer than a portrait. This is based on the fairytale figure of the ice queen; same character that Elsa is based on, but much darker.
Disney artist Brittney Lee has made some really fantastic art and really has a Mary Blair vibe to it. No only did she contribute to designs for Anna and Elsa from Frozen, she's also done some art for older Disney films like Peter Pan and The Little Mermaid.
