本日は4月20日、1871年の新暦4月20日、それまでの飛脚制度にかわって、新しい郵便制度を実施したことから、郵政記念日とのことです💌

本日４月２０日は郵政記念日
1871年のこの日に、日本でそれまでの飛脚制度に代わり新しく郵便制度が実施されたことを記念して、逓信省が「逓信記念日」として1934年に制定しました。1949年からは逓信省から郵政省に引き継がれ、翌年から郵政記念日と改称されました。

1871年のこの日、それまでの飛脚制度に代わり、東京～大阪間で郵便制度が始まった。これを記念して、1934年にこの日が逓信記念日（現在の郵政記念日）と制定された。この日から1週間は「郵便週間」として、郵便業務のPR活動などが行われる。
