Growing up in the 70s, by far the most exciting books in the library were the #Asterix series. Great stories, full colour comic strips, historical reference & excellent drawings by #AlbertUderzo. #RIPAlbertUderzo a massive influence without me even knowing! #weareblokheds
@Crawford_Hazle I LOVED the Asterix books as a kid. People think Space Commander in RG is inspired by all kinds of random stuff... but he ain't really... 😉
Hoy ha fallecido Uderzo (Albert Uderzo) creador de los celebres caracteres ASTERIX y OBELIX. De niño me gustaba mucho esta tira cómica, y aún hoy el trabajo de linea de las viñetas me sigue agradando.
RIP Albert Uderzo.
Digging out my Asterix books later.
Morreu Albert Uderzo, criador do personagem Asterix. Albert tinha 92 anos... e nos deixou grandes histórias 😔🙏🏻
Albert Uderzo ha fallecido a los 92 años. Aquí dejo mi humilde homenaje a tan gran artista.
DEP

Rest in Peace Uderzo, thanks for all the joy and fun. I still sing the poison potion song from Asterix and Cleopatra when I cook. You also introduced me to Borge Ring, my favourite animator. Hope you and Goscinny create new stuff in heaven. And punch Cesar in the face for us. <3
RIP Albert Uderzo😔Asterix is very inspirational comic for me that shaped me as an artist I am today. It was one of my favorite comics when I was a kid.
@vozme2 @arquitectamos Siempre me encantaron de niño las vistas aéreas de la aldea, y la variante que introduce este álbum me fascinaba. #comics #arquitectura #Asterix
RIP Albert Uderzo. As a child I much preferred clear-lined Tintin to Asterix; only in adulthood did I appreciate the utter genius of his creators Goscinny & Uderzo. They and their translators are now at the start of almost every language learning journey I make.
The Great Albert Uderzo, Co-Creator of the long running ASTERIX, just passed away. Did you know our good friend that Akasaka-san not only worked on the Konami TMNT games, and Martial Champion, but Asterix game as well, including almost all the enemy characters? https://t.co/0HDQ2yFhRr
Saddened to here that co-creator & illustrator of #Asterix has passed away. #AlbertUderzo met writer & editor René Goscinny in 1951, collaborating on many projects together. In 1959 they introduced Asterix to the world. Loved the reading the books when I was younger. RIP ✏
When I was a little girl, my father always bought me #Asterix comic books.
Au revoir monsieur #Uderzo, thank you for coloring my childhood.

I feel bad to see Albert Uderzo died because I never got the chances to read the Asterix comics. They look interesting.
Sorry to hear that Albert Uderzo, illustrator and co-creator of #Asterix has passed away. How much history, geography, art and humour did we all learn from reading these fantastic books? And how to read Roman numerals.
Everyone should read one today. (By Toutatis)
