Roderic O'Conor (1860-1940) The Glade (1892). An example of O'Conor's best work, this picture was executed while he was at the artist colony at Pont Aven in Brittany. Founded by Paul Gauguin the experimental 'school' moved away from the Naturalist style of the 19th century.
