I like making my OC Chance in different games. Done it in almost all games I play w/ character customization, and the race/gender usually ends up changing because I can think of 1 game w/ gender neutral characters, but other than some flavor tweaks for the game they're the same.

Also, Common Blades (which wouldn't exist without some type of lottery system) help emphasize the degree of customization in XC2's combat. I wish there were minigames or something to make the player more emotionally attached to them, since they actually look really cool.
