So far, this year has been great for me when it comes to sequels! Kaguya-sama s2's fantastic directing, humor, and character writing skyrocketed the show into my top 20. Re:Zero s1 is in my top 5, so of course I loved s2's complex narrative, characters, and beautiful messages.

still a fan of yamauchi's character-driven directing...i guess that phrase isn't very descriptive? his shots and colors and imagery are attentive to the feelings of the characters...grounded, cartoony, sometimes highly expressionistic if the emotion is strong enough to justify it
