Watched Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind this weekend and it was really incredible. The world Miyazaki created is so inspiring. I’m really excited to try to draw some of the scenes and characters from it over the next few days.

The Journey of Shuna (1983, Hayao Miyazaki). This color manga comic was published in 1983 and has many similarities to Nausicaa. It's a great story that deserves to be released in the West.

So is surprisingly awesome! I'd heard mixed things but after a shaky first 2 episodes (not enough exposition) I've really fallen in love with it. I love it's style of Gundam x Nausicaa. The Macek Eng dub is fine, though full of questionable accents. On to ep 7
