The Empyrean Path was envisioned as a continuation of visual motifs first explored in Worlds Adrift. The earlier painting contains portals existing in two different planes, an overworld and an underworld, whereas I imagined the later one as existing in a world between worlds.

I'm struggling a bit with the big overworld and the many characters, but I think I just need some more time to enjoy it myself without fandom.
