I edited it on my phone and it looks a little better now. I just added saturation bcs the other looks so pale on the phone, and the rigth one has noise because I wanted to try it.

I dunno if anyone else does this but I usually paint a pretty saturated layer as my first pass and then add an overall tinted grey. I would then start building contrast and add spotlights of saturation to finish the piece. This one is on its way to the final stage

So yeah. Everyone launch their favourite VICE emulator. Go to Settings -> VIC-II and choose your favourite palette. (Or define your own.) Then break out those CRT controls and crank that saturation up to your hearts content. Let those reds explode on the screen.

i noticed you can't get hikarino's color palette just by hue shifting yamino's model. it's really noticeable in the eyes because there's no way to achieve the same level of saturation/luminosity from his base purple w/o extra editing. there's also some level shifting.
