Bonecaller Cleric, done for MTG Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate. I had fun with the various tones and subtle color shifts in this one, playing with mood and atmosphere in a night scene.
My final two Battle for Baldur's Gate cards were assigned together and I knew they'd need to be figured out together. I sent in the sketches together, as reciprocal small variations. "Descent into Avernus"

In "Loathly Lady," one of King Arthur's knights marries a woman cursed to be ugly. Her curse is broken when he realizes she should make her own choices in the marriage instead of him dictating terms. This focus on the wife's choices is unusual in a medieval tale

First record of Merlin is Geoffrey of Monmouth's "History of the Kings of Britain." Geoffrey based Merlin on the Welsh prophet Myrddin, from 100 years after King Arthur, but had him perform magic previously attributed to Arthur's father Uther and uncle Ambrosius.

Full art for Good J..err, Majestic Genesis from Magic: The Gathering's set, Battle for Baldur's Gate! This was a rush commission, I only had 10 days from start to finish to get this piece done (usually it's ~6 weeks). I make poor sleep decisions, ha.
