Heh, I actually had to do some planning for that!

Normally, Yoshi's features would be way bigger than Grandpa's, so I tried to shrivel everything in an acceptable way before drawing the hair.
Sagging cheek also solves the lack of the white stripe in his sprites.

This game had an all star staff: Takashi Tezuka, Hideki Konno, Yoshiaki Koizumi, Yasuhisa Yamamura and others.

Yeah, I think the baby was designed for an older version of Yoshi's palette where more colors were designated to it. Based on a CGX file and palette, this is how the baby is supposed to look.

It's a shame Yoshi's newer palette in the prototype breaks it.

i did more digging around in yoshi's world today! i found some early stage select icons (different from the ones in the protos) and the missing wizard baby from both the intro and game over screen!! big day for yossy
