Today I'm writing about elephants and architecture. Perhaps it's their association with strength and power that have made them a popular choice for eccentric if mostly unbuilt architectural projects. This is Charles-Francois Ribart's unexecuted 1758 monument to Louis XV.

"Mauve Scrawl" ⚡ Nate Boyce

A figurative and architectural sculpture choreographed with mannerist complexity and distortion. ⚡ The sound is a cross-sensory magnification of both the object’s textures and contours.

had an interesting discussion about this cottage today on my discord: it has a chocolate-box style roof with muntin windows but also an american flag, a flagpole outside, and a split-level second floor. it's the most architecturally confused thing i've ever seen and i love it.

Utopian architectural designs, expressionist interiors, fantastic worlds of colour – all of this is only a fraction of the work of Wenzel Hablik (1881-1934).

Posting a self portrait I drew a few years back, I still like how east European it feels... It's almost as if I used brutalist architectural style to build my face

A chance article about how quilt blocks could inspire architectural design led lecturer Valerie Goodwin to embark on a secondary career as a successful textile artist and write her own book “Art Quilt Maps, Capturing a Sense of Place”.

I was recently inspired by my amazing friend while I was watching his stream.
Architectural work isn’t something I typically do, so I was pleasantly surprised how relaxing it was. 😌

Perspective Drawing is a technique used in art and design to represent three-dimensional images on a two-dimensional picture plane. Great work by Design 1 students on their one and two-point perspectives!

Reunion 02 / Doom / 1999 / by Ed Cripps

The second of two Phobos-themed maps from before Ed embraced the graphical enhancements of (G)ZDoom. It doesn't have Romero's architectural flair but odd angles and subtle elevation changes abound.
